Canada is big. I mean, really big; it is the second largest country on the planet. So long as you are not agoraphobic, it also makes a great vacation destination. Skiers are spoilt for choice - some of the best ski resorts in the world are found in Canada. These include Banff in Alberta, Mont Tremblant (Quebec) and Whistler (British Columbia) (which has over 200 ski runs). If you have never skied in Canada then you can return your ‘I love skiing’ woolly hat to the shop. The ski resorts have a wide range of accommodation and lodgings to suit most budgets.
Golfers can take advantage of the wide open spaces and unique terrain in Canada. The St. George’s golf course in Toronto and the Jasper Park Lodge golf course in Jasper (Alberta) come highly recommended.
For city breaks, Canada is ideal. On the east coast of Canada Toronto (Ontario) is full of attractions all year round. The warm summer hosts a good number of festivals, and has no shortage of art galleries, museums and theatres. In the winter time you have to catch an Ice Hockey game, then visit the Ice Hockey Hall of Fame. Did we mention Niagara Falls is nearby too (with much better views than on the New York side). On the west coast Vancouver (British Columbia) offers great city lodgings with the wilderness on your doorstep: water sports, boating, diving, fishing and skiing.
With its unique terrain and great mix of cultures Canada has something for everybody.
